Gabi Szklenár was born on the 26th of may in 1978 in Budapest. After she attended the Beetoven Conservatorie in Martonvásár (she learnt to play the flute and drums for a short period of time) next to music she also played handball for 6 years. She graduated at the Pedagogic High School in Budapest. She was a member in a rock band called Titan, than enrolled in Viki Pintácsi's conservatorie.
In 1997 she became the member of the firs hungarian girl band Baby Sisters along with Évi Bognár and Klári Hertelendi.
Their manager Gábor Berkes was one of the members of Első Emelet. Their firs big hit single was Rád gondolok- which became hungary's favourite song- followed by
more hits like: Jo estét nyar,jo estét szerelem, Még egy tánc, Szeresd a testem, Égben Írt szerelem, Lesz ami lesz.
After four succesful years the girls decided to part ways in 2001.
Trying to find her way Gabi decided to start a solo career. Her debut album "Van-e helyem" was released in 2003.
From the album, the most succesful song was Őrült szerelem which she sang with Lala Lányi (singer of the band Kozmix).
The song immediately became No.1 at the hungarian airplay charts and remained at this position for 10 weeks and it's video clip became the most frequently played video clip on VIVA.
Her second album Hazudj még nekem was released in 2004. For the first single "Darabokra szakítod a szívem"-a sequel to Őrült szerelem- Gabi reunited with Lala Lányi.
This song was a big hit again following in the "footsteps" of their previous song.
Her third album "Szivárvány" came out in 2005. First clip from the album "Van egy kulcs"
2006- duet with Kefir "Hova sodor a szél"
